The conflict currently unfolding between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel is not a reflection of the will of the Iranian people. Rather, it is the inevitable result of decades of systematic crimes, state-sponsored terrorism, and brutal oppression orchestrated by the Islamic Republic of Iran and its Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).
For more than 45 years, this criminal and terrorist organization has hijacked the Iranian nation through force, terror, and oppression. The regime has systematically murdered Iranian citizens under countless fabricated charges, brutally suppressed peaceful protests, imprisoned and tortured dissidents, and exported violence far beyond Iran’s borders all in an unrelenting pursuit to maintain its grip on power.
The current conflict is merely the latest chapter in the Islamic Republic’s extensive history of violence and aggression. Fueled by its deep-seated hatred for the Iranian people, its insatiable lust for absolute power, and its ongoing revenge against past international sanctions and policies, including those imposed by the Trump administration, the regime has once again recklessly sacrificed innocent lives both Iranian and Israeli.
Every innocent life lost in this conflict is a direct result of the Islamic Republic’s actions and the IRGC’s terror operations. They are the true perpetrators. They are the ones endangering not only the people of Iran but the entire region and the world.
The Islamic Republic is not a legitimate government. It is a criminal enterprise that has illegally seized control of Iran and continues to maintain its rule through violence, fear, and widespread violations of international law and human rights.
The regime must be held fully accountable for its extensive crimes against humanity. The international community must no longer recognize this terrorist organization as a government.
The International Center for Human Rights (ICHR) urgently calls upon the international community to take decisive and immediate action:
- Hold the Islamic Republic accountable for its crimes.
- Terminate all recognition of this terrorist entity as a legitimate government.
- Stand firmly with the people of Iran.
- Take immediate steps to stop the ongoing slaughter of innocent civilians.
The time for silence has long passed. Every moment of inaction allows for more innocent lives to be lost. The world must act now.
