The International Center for Human Rights (ICHR) is now accepting nominations for its prestigious annual Human Rights Awards, honoring individuals across the Middle East who have demonstrated extraordinary courage and unshakable commitment to the defense of fundamental human rights.

Established in 2011, the ICHR Human Rights Awards were created to honor those whose voices often go unheard those who risk everything in the fight against tyranny, injustice, and systemic abuse. As Iran and the region continue to face brutal repression, it is more critical than ever to lift up the names and stories of the real heroesfrom political prisoners to grieving families turned freedom fighters.

✊ This Year’s Focus: The Titans of Grief and Resistance

This year, ICHR especially calls attention to the “Titan Families” the mothers, fathers, siblings, and children of those killed during peaceful protests. These families have emerged as some of the most courageous human rights defenders in Iran.

Nominate the Bakhtiyari family, who turned the brutal killing of their son Pouya Bakhtiyari during the Aban 2019protests into a lifelong mission for justice.

Nominate the Afkari family, whose son Navid was executed following a coerced confession, yet they still cry out from under state surveillance.

Nominate the countless parents of Nika Shakarami, Hadis Najafi, Sarina Esmailzadeh, and so many others, who resist not with weapons, but with grief, love, and truth.

Their voices may never reach courtrooms, but they echo across a wounded nation, and the world must hear them.

πŸ›‘ Enough Silence. Let the World Know.

By submitting a nomination, you’re not just filling out a form.
You’re amplifying the voice of a woman silenced by hijab patrols.
You’re carrying the last words of a protester into the halls of history.
You’re standing where justice should, but hasn’t yet stood.

Now is the time to nominate the brave.
Not just those with platforms but those with wounds.
