International Centre For Human Rights-ICHR For Immediate Release:

Re: Iran’s Review Of 2022; Injustice Has Worsen In Iran

  • Iran 2022;
    ICHR is very alarmed by the gross systematic violation of human rights in Iran, as it could be the greatest threat to the world peace. The increased persecution, suppression and killing of the opposition domestically and globally will guarantee the progression to more killings and a dark age.

     Iran’s human rights violations have been alarmingly increasing in year 2022, people of Iran are under tyranny of an criminal Terrorist regime, which has degraded people dignity and violated their rights by using brutally inhumane methods to intimidate, suppress, and killing the people to stay in power.

     The most recent violation of human rights in Iran led to the murder of Mahsa Amini a young woman who was site seeing with her brother was brutally assaulted and arrested for not wearing proper Islamic force hijab and got killed after she was beaten in detention, which her murder led to the uprising united by the people of Iran that’s being met with regime’s most brutal inhuman treatments.

     Treatment such as firing bullets, death sentences, button beatings, rape, torture, illegal arrests, kidnapping, corrupted judicial system, child killings, murder, sentencing protesters to death penalty among them «doctors, under age, youngsters» brutal threats, zero safety, and the international political games that are strong in words not actions which is helping the regime to stay in power.

     The Iranian authorities arrested thousands Iranians and protesters unjustly, and unlawfully as well as tortured, and degraded. The Iranian government Not only ignored all laws of human Rights and united nation they increased poverty, corruption, unjustly arrests, and death by execution across the country.

     The continued Crackdowns, Arbitrary arrests, Death Penalties, and killings since nationwide November 2019 protests up to date. And after that the security forces harassed, detained, and beaten the relatives  peacefully gathering for seeking justice throughout the year. Such as  Bakhtiari family  whom mostly have been sentenced to imprisonment.

  • Corrupt Judicial System;
    For over 4 decades the criminal regime has continuously executed widespread systematic tactics such as all forms of physical and mental violence, beating, Illegal arbitrarily Prosecutions, torture, forced confessions, murder, and executions of protesters, against the people of Iran, which must be severely prosecuted in the International criminal court, as well as enlisted as a terrorists entity worldwide.” Said; Daryanaz Shirinkam, Communication Director at ICHR.

     The regime’s recent murder was through its corrupted judicial system by executing a 23yrs young protester Mohsen Shekari fighting for his basic rights. A government that is the enemy of its people with culture of killing innocents must tried at the international criminal court.

     “Mohsen was a 23yrs young protester who was simply asking for his basic rights, and got detained on baseless charges had a trial and convicted to execution within three weeks. This is murder at behest of the criminal regime of Islamic Republic holding people of Iran as hostages by, intimidation, suppression, fear, and murder.” Said; Ardeshir Zarezadeh, the executive director of ICHR.

     ICHR strongly calls on the International Community, Including The States Member Of The Un Human Rights Council and the EU, to take immediate action to pressure the IR regime to Stop the use of the death penalty, specially as a weapon of political repression.

     “The execution of Mohsen Shekari indicates how far the criminal Terrorist regime of Islamic Republic will go using brutally inhumane methods to intimidate and suppress the protesters to stay in power.” Added; Ardeshir Zarezadeh, the executive director of ICHR Canada.

     “After the murder of Mahsa Amini the world have come to see very closely and clearly that the united people of Iran nationwide and worldwide are being killed and threatened by the criminal regime. The moment the regime announced the death sentences for the protesters the Un Human Rights Council must have intervened to stop all executions.” Added; Daryanaz Shrinkam, Communication Director at ICHR Canada.

     The former head of Iran’s judiciary, Ebrahim Raisi, rose to the presidency instead of being investigated for crimes against humanity related to the mass enforced disappearances and extrajudicial executions of 1988, reflecting systemic corruption in the system. The Presidential elections were held in a repressive environment, authorities barred women, members of religious minorities and critics from running, and threatened to prosecute anyone encouraging election boycott.

     The death penalties have been imposed after corrupted trials under false charges by the IR criminal regime. Death sentences have been used as a weapon of repression against protesters, dissidents and ethnic minorities, for over 43yrs.

  • Right to health;
    The anti humanity regime’s response to Covid-19 was marked by horrendous lack of transparency, efficiency, failure to address shortages of vaccines, hospital beds, oxygen supplies, and nurses. Over populated prisons, severe discrimination of healthcare for prisoners and minorities.

     There are no medication, insulin, health care essentials, the economy has been very poor, more children in the streets, women are discriminated at most violating manners, minorities are not considered human, the country is drying up, south west of iran has no water, students don’t have access to advance education, child marriages are increased by government offering money, and the list can go on for ever.

  • Terrorist Activities;
    January 2020 shooting down of Flight 752 by the Revolutionary Guards, which killed 176 people, and harassed, arbitrarily detained, tortured or otherwise ill-treated bereaved relatives for seeking justice.

    Iran continues to commit worldwide Terrorist activities including provide military support to government forces in the armed conflict in Syria, Russia, and many more countries. Which is horrifyingly alarming for threats against world peace.

  • Ethnic and Religious Minorities;    During the tyranny of the IR Terrorist Regime the religious minorities, including Baha’is, Christians, Gonabadi Dervishes, Jews, Yaresan and Sunni Muslims, have suffered under extreme discrimination in professing or practising their faith, law, education, employment, child adoption, political office and places of worship, as well as arbitrary detention, tortured, other outrageous ill-treatment.

     Under the dictatorship of the IR regime the ethnic minorities, including Ahwazi Arabs, Azerbaijani Turks, Baluchis, Kurds and Turkmen, faced outrageous discrimination, education, employment and politically. Met with Death sentences imposed for vague charges such as “enmity against God”. The regime secretly executed those convicted in their corrupt judiciary, and refused to return their bodies to their families.

  • LGBTI people;
    The LGBTI people have been continuously murdered by the corrupt regime of IR, which highlights how massive is the perpetuated violence, discrimination, and criminalization against the LGBTI community and are met with punishments ranging from flogging, torture, other ill-treatment amounting to gender reassignment surgery, sterilization, and death penalty, including against children.
  • Workers’ Rights and Trade Unionists;    Since 2018-2022 the world also has seen Iran in a deep economic crisis which has triggered numerous strikes, which Instead of addressing their complaints, the Iranian authorities arrested at workers, including teachers, truck drivers and factory workers, summoned others for questioning and subjected many to torture and other ill-treatment.

     Throughout these years truck drivers were arrested and some threatened with the death penalty after they took part in nationwide strikes demanding better working conditions and higher wages.

  • Women’s rights;
     Continued outrageous horrifying discrimination of the women and girls by the the inhuman regime of IR has been their strategy to stay in power for the past 43yrs. Discrimination in law, relation to marriage, divorce, employment, inheritance, politically, education clothing, right to choose, live, employment, public spaces, and healthcare. The degrading discriminatory forced hijab laws have led to daily harassment, arbitrary detention, torture, rape, other ill-treatment, beating to death, killed by police in detention centres (most recent case #MahsaAmini, and death penalties under false charges.

     For over 42 years the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has continuously practiced widespread systematic discrimination, persecution, illegal prosecution, execution, and domestic violence’s including honour killings that the government has avoided to criminalize, and instead have continuously promoted it.

     “The government with the nature of Anti-Women, that has been holding the Women hostage under brutally systematic oppressed, and inhuman laws in society. Must be reason enough to appose the Islamic Republic’s regime and demand its expulsion.”Added; Daryanaz Shirinkam, Communication Director at ICHR.

  • Torture and Other Ill-Treatment;  Prisoner’s torture and other ill-treatment has remained widespread and systematic, especially during interrogation. Torture-tainted “confessions” are broadcasted on state television and consistently used to issue convictions of long term prison sentences and death penalties. The prisoners are in face with continued torture, ill treatments, cruel, and inhuman, conditions. Prisons are overcrowded with poor inadequate sanitation, food, water, beds, ventilation, insect infestation, and denied medical care placing them at greater health risks.
  • Freedom of Expression, Association and Assembly;
    The authorities have continuously imposed internet shutdowns during protests, blocking the social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, Twitter and YouTube, hiding the scale of violations by security forces. On top of this security and intelligence officials carry out arbitrary arrests for social media postings deemed “counter-revolutionary” or “un-Islamic”.

     The authorities continue to heavily suppress the rights to freedom of expression, association and assembly. They banned independent political parties, trade unions and civil society organizations, censored media and jammed satellite television channels. Several thousand men, women and children were interrogated, unfairly prosecuted, arbitrarily detained, beaten to death, executed, solely for peacefully exercising their rights to freedom of expression, association and assembly.

     The protesters, journalists, dissidents, artists, writers, teachers, dual nationals, lawyers, human rights defenders including women rights, LGBTI rights, labour rights and minority rights defenders, environmentalists, anti-death penalty campaigners, and the relatives demanding accountability for regimes crimes, are face with threats, harassment, torture, rape, other ill treatments, beaten to death, murder, sentenced under false charges to flocking, long term imprisonment, and death penalty.

     During the recent uprising in Iran over 21K protesters are imprisoned, hundreds are killed by live ammunition in the streets, thousands are injured severely that has led to some of them dying, people are not even safe in their homes as the security forces throw tear gas or fire bullet at the houses windows that has led to injuries and some deaths, including many children among all these violations. Children are getting killed, losing parents, all because people of iran are asking for their basic human rights.

  • Environmental Rights Activists; Environmental experts criticized the authorities’ failure to address Iran’s environmental crisis, marked by loss of lakes, rivers and wetlands; deforestation; water pollution from raw sewage and industrial waste; and land sinking. Which for that they are imprisoned under inhumane circumstances, or have faced execution or awaiting one.
  • Background;
    Iran continues to commit worldwide Terrorist activities including provide military support to government forces in the armed conflict in Syria, Russia, and many more countries. Which is horrifyingly alarming for threats against world peace.

     Thousands of people were interrogated, unfairly prosecuted, arbitrarily detained solely for peacefully exercising their human rights, and thousands remained unjustly imprisoned. Security forces unlawfully used lethal forces to attack, suppress, harm, and kill protests. Judicial punishments of floggings, amputations and blinding were imposed. The death penalty was used widely, including as a weapon of repression. Executions were carried out after unfair trials.

Imprisoning and sentencing protesters to death penalty for asking for their basic human rights is an obvious fact that the judiciary system is corrupted and is under the strain of the regime, and a tactic to ensured that they stay in power.Minorities faced entrenched discrimination and violence. Legislative developments further undermined sexual and reproductive rights, the right to freedom of religion and belief, and access to the internet. Torture and other ill-treatment, including denying prisoners adequate medical care, remained widespread and systematic.

ICHR strongly calls on the Iranian authorities to immediately halt the death penalty sentences and unconditionally release all political prisoners for peacefully expressing their right to freedom of expression, association and assembly, the criminal regime of IR must be held accountable for all its crimes against humanity.

ICHR will continue to echoes the voice of protestors in Iran fighting for freedom, equality, and their basic human rights, to the world.

We strongly call on all governments worldwide, the United Nations, and the United Nations Security Council to publicly and firmly pressure the bloodthirsty regime.  Forcing them to immediately halt the execution of protesters and their unconditional release.

Today is the time for the world to stand on the right side of the history and listen to the voice of the Iranian people in the path of protecting human rights and condemn the criminal regime of the Islamic Republic for all its crimes against humanity.

With Measures Like;

  • Severe sanctions on the entire system, the IRGC and all its affiliates.
  • Registration of the entire regime and the IRGC as a terrorist entity.
  • Expulsion of all relatives and dependents.
  • Confiscation of all assets.
  • Closing all embassies of the regime.
  • And trial at the International Criminal Court.

ICHR will continue fighting for human rights, refugee rights, as well as standing with protesters, political prisoners and human rights activists in Iran, Middle East and neighbouring countries. We also strongly call on governments, freedom fighters, human right activists, political parties worldwide, European union, and the United Nations for effective serous united action against the terrorist criminal regime of Islamic Republic, for Liberty in Iran.
