ICHR is extremely disappointed at the world for allowing an Terrorist organization be Recognized as a government and under extremely degrading rulings attacking women’s rights and freedoms. We strongly call on Governments worldwide, United Nation, European Union, and specially Canada to take serious actions to stop this atrocity and attack on women’s rights and freedoms.
It’s extremely alarming that in Afghanistan’s capital as the Afghan women chant slogans during protests against the Taliban’s ban on education, and employment at NGOs. The Taliban ruled administration ordered all local and foreign non-governmental organizations to suspend employing women.
“The deliberate disregard towards women’s rights to practice their basic human right, is openly ignoring the international laws and human rights, and that means more Terrorist activities worldwide.” Said; Ardeshir Zarezadeh, the executive director of ICHR
The atrocity of degrading women by taking their Freedom, life, and dignity extends to women also being banned from attending classes at mosques, or most public areas nationwide. And if they dare to raise their voice against the injustice against their rights, then they are facing Taliban’s wrath; the arbitrarily arrests, torture, rape, killed, and disappearances.
“Terrorist organization with a record of worst human rights violations worldwide can not be recognized as a government, the world must stop giving Taliban power by doing as such.” Added; Ardeshir Zarezadeh, the executive director of ICHR
“The widespread patterns of violations by Taliban in the context of the criminal justice system, women rights, torture, rape, murder, other ill-treatment and enforced disappearances, are extremely horrifying and hazardous to the worldwide peace.” Said; Daryanaz Shirinkam Communication Director at ICHR Canada.
Though Afghan women are risking their lives by demonstrating in major cities against the ban, since the Taliban have been in power. The international community has been incompetent to take any effective measures to stop Taliban attacking women’s rights and freedoms.
“The failure to provide accountability for violence against women and girls has given the Taliban further crucial legal protections, as well as undermines the progress to protect their Dignity and Human Rights.” Added; Daryanaz Shirinkam Communication Director at ICHR Canada.
ICHR strongly call on Governments worldwide, United Nation, European Union, and specially Canada to take serious actions against Taliban, and take effective measures to ensure security and safety of every women, Girl, and child, as they are at imminent danger.
We also firmly call on the government of Canada to stop playing political games while Afghan lives are under attack. Canada shouldn’t recognize the Taliban as an legitimate government. Taliban is the terrorist entity that has brutally killed, tortured raped and violated Human Rights globally.
ICHR urges Canada to reopen expansion on resettlement program to bring more Afghans to safety, and to take in consideration the sensitive and critical situations of the women and grant them participation in the program.
