ICHR is extremely saddened and horrified by the execution of the opposition journalist Ruhollah Zam, and finds this criminal act alarmingly inhuman and premeditating murder in order to say to the world that the dictator regime of Iran holds no regards for rule of law or human rights.

ICHR; Execution of #Ruhollah_Zam is yet another crime of this anti-people government, and we must condemn this criminal regime and it’s supreme leader Khamenei in the International Criminal Court.

Ruhollah Zam was kidnapped from Iraq and executed at the Dawn of December 12th, by the order of Khamenei. This is yet another murder being committed at the hands of Islamic Republic ruling.

Zam, was citizen of France who got “kidnapped” fourteen months ago after traveling to Iraq and then the Revolutionary Guards, announced in a statement long after the fact that he had been transferred to Iran.

He was denied a lawyer during the trial and was sentenced to death by Abolghasem Salavati, head of Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court.

He was accused of committing crimes against the internal and external security of the country. His only crime was launching “Amad News” and becoming the “Voice of the People”.

Unconditional freedom of expression is everyone’s right. The right to Protest is an inalienable right that everyone should have.

As Zam sat in front of the reporter interrogator of the Islamic Republic TV, said; “You say riots, we say protests”

“The dissent are charged with corruption on the state and are illigaly condemnd or killed by the Islamic Republic laws. With the continued use of execution, extreme suppression and murders, the government of Iran is clearly ignoring the international laws and violating every aspect of human rights in and outside the country.” Said; Daryanaz Shirinkam Communication Director at ICHR Canada.

“The government has made it clear that this haste in his execution was done with the ugly aim of preventing the formation of an international campaign to save Zam’s life.”

ICHR; This execution is clearly yet another crime of the Islamic Republic and a premeditated murder, that we strongly condemns, and the Iranian government must be held accountable in the International Criminal Court.
