Country: Iran
ICHR strongly demands for Atena’s immediate and unconditional release, from the government of Iran.
Each day that Atena spends in prison her absence is felt worldwide, she is imprisoned for defending women rights to protest against Iran’s forced hijab laws, as well as opposing death penalty. We stand in solidarity with her, and won’t stop until Atena Daemi is released immediately and unconditionally.
On Sunday, June 28, a court hearing was held under the chairmanship of Judge Mohammad Reza Amouzad to hear the new charges against Athena Daemi, which was filed against her by the Ministry of Intelligence.
The new charges are Propaganda against the state and disruption of prison order, the court charged her with Propaganda against the state because Atena’s letters and issuing of statements indicating the Hunan right violation in the jail cells and defended women rights in the statements and spoke against Child abuse and death penalty.
The government of Iran keeps creating false charges against Atena Daemi to keep her imprisoned, but Aneta is not giving up, even though she and her is facing, persecution, harassment, and she is under inhuman conditions in prison and being tortured.
She is still defending women rights, human rights, children rights, and speaking up against death penalty. Atena has dedicated her life to Defending human rights to make Iran a better place for next generations to come. She has always stand up for rights and against Violation of human right.
Today she needs us to be her voice and not allow the government of Iran to use it’s systematic human rights violations to persecute, and unlawfully prosecute and sentence Atena and every citizen that speaks up, to the outrageous imprisonments, and death sentences.
Today also AmirHossein Moradi Said Tamjidi & Muhammad Rajabi need us to stand up for them as they are sentence to death, due to protests of Nov-2019 that +1500 Peaceful protesters were killed & +12000 were arrested by Government.
The government of Iran is trying to prevent a wave of widespread protests by the activists whom are opening the worlds eyes on their crimes and human rights violations.
Such systemic cases against political prisoners and the unlawful prosecution are strongly condemned and should be protested, and all political prisoners should be released immediately and unconditionally. Said; Ardeshire Zarezadeh, Executive Director for Iran, and The Middle East at ICHR Canada.
For over 40 years the Government of Iran has continuously executed widespread systematic discrimination, violence, Political Repression against the protesters, and they are left exposed to unlawful prosecutions, and outrageous sentences.
ICHR strongly condemns the government of Iran for Criminalizing protestors, and violating their rights. Also calling on the government officials to start abiding by the UN laws and laws of human rights. As well the immediate and unconditional release of all political persuasions.
