ICHR strongly condemns ayatollah Khamenei for ordering the use of deadly forces towards the people of Iran protesting.
Today on November, 23rd, toronto gathered in solidarity with the people of Iran in their widespread protest, to support their chanting for political, economic, and social reforms. As well as raising awareness towards what’s happening in Iran today.
Soon after the protests started The supreme leader ayatollah Khamenei ordered the security forces to use any measure and live emulation on people protesting to silence them, as he called them “thugs” and accused them of being influenced by foreign interests.
And the government began their crackdown on the civilians protesting. They sent threatening messages, disconnected the internet to leave the protesters incommunicado until today November, 23rd, and they have tear gassed, assaulted, and use open fire on to the protesters.
So far The government security forces have killed over 300 people and over 3000 are left injured, plus 5000 are detained, and among these casualties over 100 of them are kids under age of 16.
“We strongly demand from the international communities to stand in solidarity with the people of Iran, and protect their rights to protest under the international human right laws. The people of Iran need help as they are being killed, injured, detained for practicing their right to speech.” Said; Ardeshire Zarezadeh, Executive Director for Iran, and The Middle East at ICHR Canada.
“It’s no secret that ayatollah Khamenei is condemned to murder of protesters, and he must be held accountable.” Ardeshire Zarezadeh added.
