The International Center for Human Rights (ICHR) in Toronto strongly urges the Iranian government to release Sepideh Ghaliyan, Amir Amirgholi, and Ismail Bakhshi Immediately and unconditionally. Defending civil rights is not a crime and the Iranian government must respect international human rights law.
Ismail Bakhshi, a representative of the prisoner of sugar cane sugar workers, Sepideh Ghaliyan, and Amir Amirgholi, two civil activists, were transferred to Evin Prison.
According to news reports received, all were transferred from two prisons in Ahvaz to Evin Prison in Tehran, and their case was forwarded to the Seventh Branch of Evin Prison.
The purpose of their transfer to Tehran’s Evin Prison is to attend the hearing in Branch 7 of the Court, and according to the Branch Inspection, this meeting will be held without the participation of Their lawyers. Which is a violation of their human rights.
Ms. Bakhshi and Amirgholi and Ms. Ghaliyan have been arrested in connection with the protests of the Haftepeh sugar cane workers.
Ismail Bakhshi and Sepideh Ghaliyan were arrested after the disclosure of their torture in the Ahvaz Detention Center in late December. The two were arrested last November.
Amir Amirgholi was arrested along with two members of the Internet magazine “Gham”; Sanaz Allahyari, and Amir Hossein Mohammadifard l, and they were transferred to Ahvaz detention, and So far there has not been a trial for them.
