Iranian political prisoner Hossein Khezri was executed this morning in Urumieh prison. Referring to Khezri, State TV reported today that a member of terrorist group “Pejak” was executed this morning after his sentence was approved by province council.
In recent days, speculations about Hossein Khezri’s secret execution by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s judicial security system had grown and human rights organization called for urgent action against his execution. Hossein Khezri was transferred from Orumiyeh prison to an undisclosed location on the night of January 2 and since then, there was no news of his situation. Hossein Khezri’s brother said he has heard Hossein’s execution from media and wasn’t aware of that before.
