The International Center for Human Rights (ICHR), Toronto – October 20, 2014: ICHR presented a recognition award to Arash Sobhani, Iranian singer, songwriter and director of KIOSK music group for his contributions to the human rights movement in Iran through his music.

The organization’s executive director, Mr. Ardeshir Zarezadeh presented the award to the artist on stage at KIOSK’s concert in Toronto on October 17, 2014.

ICHR presented another award to artists Shahin Najafi on June 2014.

“Both, Shahin and Arash are challenging the Iranian regime through their music and managed to raise awareness on many of the human rights issues currently occurring in the country through their lyrics and actions,” said Mr. Ardeshir Zarezadeh.

Shahin Najafi performed at ICHR’s fundraising concert in support of refugees in June 2013.
